Earthquake

Three days after a 4.0 magnitude earthquake shook St Lucia, the island experienced another tremor on Sunday night, this time measuring 4.4, according to the Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre (SRC).

The SRC reported that the quake struck at 8:51 p.m. (local time) at a depth of 15 kilometers. It was felt 31 km south of Fort-de-France, Martinique, and 112 km south-southeast of Roseau, the capital of Dominica. No damage or injuries have been reported.

Last Thursday, St Lucia was jolted by a 4.0 magnitude tremor at a depth of 10 km. That quake was felt 70 km east of Kingstown, the capital of St Vincent and the Grenadines, and 110 km west of Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados.
