President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ, Metry Seaga, is welcoming the uptick in business and consumer confidence.
According to the latest survey conducted for the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce by the Don Anderson-led Market Research Services Limited, business confidence improved by 1.7 percent over the April to June period.
Consumer confidence also improved over the period by 1.4 percent.
Mr. Seaga says the improved numbers can be maintained by continuing to have less tedious policies for business transactions.
