Arnett Gardens appointments Philip Williams as the club’s new head coach.

Williams brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success at both the schoolboy and premier league levels. Arnett says this positions Williams as the ideal leader to guide the club into a new era.

Currently serving as head coach of the St. Andrew Technical High School Manning Cup Football Team, Williams has been instrumental in shaping young talent and fostering strong team cultures at the school he has been teaching since 2006.

Arnett Gardens says Williams’ deep commitment to youth development aligns perfectly with the club’s long-term vision of building a competitive team rooted in the growth and advancement of young players.

Over the course of his coaching career, Williams has led three top-flight teams in the Jamaica Premier League – Tivoli Gardens, Portmore United, and Dunbeholden.

Williams led Portmore United to success in the 2023 Lynk Cup, a knockout tournament featuring teams from both the Jamaica Premier League and Tier II competition.

In addition to preparing the squad for the domestic season, he will lead Arnett into the Caribbean Football Union Club Shield tournament in Trinidad, from July 26 to August 3, where they will defend their title.

Williams will assume his role immediately as the team begins preparations for the CFU Club Shield and the upcoming Jamaica Premier League season.
