Stocks Round Up JSE closes week on losing note

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Combined Index closed the week Friday on a losing note. Slow trading ended with an advance/decline ratio of 37/44.

The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,141.14 points or, 0.32 per cent, to close at 352,014.14.

The JSE Main Market Index declined by 1,613.21 points or, 0.47 per cent, to close at 338,788.73, while the Junior Market Index advanced by 40.36 points or,1.04 per cent, to close at 3,919.75. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.36 points or, 0.16 per cent, to close at 226.71

SVL, up 9.84 per cent to close at $29.69.

iCreate, up 9.71 per cent to close at $1.92

Losers

Eppley 7.50% Prefs Due 2024 down 15.06 per cent closing at $6.60

Eppley Ltd, down 13.00 per cent closing at $32.19

VM Investments, down 12.59 per cent to close at $3.47.

Ciboney, down 9.09 per cent to close a $0.50.

Carib Cement, down 4.81per cent to close at $57.02.

Market volume

6.05 million units valued at over $39.53 million.

Volume leaders were: Pulse, followed by Fontana and Wigton.
