National defender, Jodi-Ann Ward, says the the Sunshine girls will be aiming for a sweep when they face South Africa in three match netball series at the National Indoor Sports Centre January 18, 22 and 25.
The teams will competing for the Margaret Beckford Trophy.
This series follows on the Sunshine Girls’ outstanding performance at home in the recently concluded Horizon Series against England with the Jamaicans emerging 2-1 winners.
Ward, says the the team has the tools to win all three games.
Ward says ace defender Shamera Sterling-Humphrey was named as captain of the Sunshine Girls that boasts a mix of experience and up and coming talent.

The Sunshine Girls will need to win the Series against South Africa to maintain their 3rd place ranking as South Africa will also play England in the Quad Series in February.
