1 month ago 5

Executive Chairman of Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited, Gary Peart, while speaking with Nationwide Sports explained that the renovation needed at Jamaica’s horse racing Mecca, Caymanas Park, will only come after the group receives full ownership of the 196-acre facility.

Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited currently has a 30-year lease to operate Caymanas Park and are eight-years into their tenure having started operations back in 2017.

According to Peart, his team wrote to Danville Walker, Board Chairman at Caymanas Park, back in April and are still waiting for a response in regards to the matter.

There’s also growing fears among horse racing stakeholders that if the SVREL company should take over full ownership of Caymanas Park, there’s a possibility that racing could be in jeopardy.

To this Peart stated that those fears should be laid to rest.
