Olympic Games 100-metre hurdles bronze medallist and four-time national sprint hurdles champion Megan Tapper has signed a four-year contract with German sportswear brand Adidas.
“31 and still hurdling limits ... here’s to four golden years with the giant Adidas,” Tapper, who stands at five-feet one inch, wrote under an Adidas marked Instagram post.
Megan adds this milestone to her personal best run at the Jamaican Championships in Kingston in June with a time of 12.34 seconds. She would later go on to match this time at the Meeting International d’Athlétisme Herculis EBS Diamond League in Monaco in July.
“Believe nuh mon ... ” she said. “It’s possible yes, but everything is impossible in the beginning.”
The 2019 Pan America Games 100m hurdles bronze medallist is set to line up at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo next month where she will seek to earn her first World Championships medal in the same city where she earned her Olympic bronze medal in 2021.
Adidas has a history of sponsoring top Jamaican athletes including Yohan Blake, Warren Weir and Veronica Campbell-Brown, and Tapper is the latest to join this list.
