Team Belize Dominates in Central American Volleyball Championship

Belize’s under-23 Female Volleyball Team is dominating in the ongoing Female Central American Championships. The tournament opened on Sunday at the Belize Civic Center, with visiting teams from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panama. Team Belize came out strong, taking commanding victories in the first two games against Panama and El Salvador. Allan Sharp, President of the Belize Volleyball Association, says that each participating country has brought their best teams, hoping to shape them up for another major event planned for October.

Sharp is calling on the public to come to Wednesday’s game wearing blue shirts to match the team as they play Honduras. He is also calling for the crowd to wear white shirts on Thursday for the big game against Guatemala as a sign of unity.
