Wray and Nephew/Premier League campaigners Montego Bay United has assembled a powerful coaching and technical staff in the wake of Rudolfo Zapata’s departure.
Paul “Tegat” Davis has come full circle with a club he was in charge of when they lifted the title in 2016. He is also a legend of the club under the name Seba United.
Davis also spent five years at Mount Pleasant Academy from 2017 to 2021 and also did two stints as head coach at Arnett Gardens, first 2010 to 2012 and again 2021 to 2023.
Davis will work in tandem with head of Jamaica Football Federation coaching education, Andrew Peart, who has been appointed technical director at Montego Bay United.
Peart led Glenmuir High to back-to-back Inter-Secondary School Sports Association, ISSA, Champions League titles and also had stints with Jamaica College and the University of the West Indies.
Argentine Zapata parted ways with Montego Bay United by mutual consent at the weekend after taking charge at the start of the season.
The former champions are third in the league on 48 points after Monday night’s 3-1 win over Tivoli Gardens at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.
The Davis and Peart era kicks off on Thursday when Montego Bay United host Racing F.C in the Wray and Nephew/Jamaica Premier League.
