President of Tennis Jamaica, John Azar, says the local fraternity is in a state of shock following the news of the passing of a legend in the sport, Richard Russell.
79-year-old Russell passed away on Wednesday in Montego Bay.
Azar described Russell who was conferred with the national honour of Order of Distinction in 2022, as the father of tennis.
He says Russell’s legacy is immeasurable.
