Terrelonge Urges Electorate Not to Gamble With Security

Don’t gamble with your security!

That’s the warning from MP for East Central St. Catherine, the JLP’s Alando Terrelonge, to the electorate.

He told a JLP constituency conference in West St. Andrew on Sunday night that the Holness government’s investment in policing is yielding results.

He pointed to the fact that there’s been no murders in Gregory Park in his constituency since October 2024.

For many years, Gregory Park was a crime hot spot, plagued by violence, with criminals committing murders and torching homes.

In 2023, criminals firebombed a tenement yard, leaving one man dead and 11 homes torched.

A 70-year-old woman, Naomi Gocul, who was badly injured in the attack, later died.

The government established a mobile police post in the area in late 2024.

This is in keeping with the direction of the security force to work closely with the community.

Pointing to the JLP government’s record of achievement in office, Terrelonge further urged the electorate not to change course with the country’s leadership.

He says Dr. Holness is the best leader at this time to take the country forward.
