Jimmy Cliff’s enduring legacy continues to shine as The Best of Jimmy Cliff re-enters the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart at No. 8, marking its third week on the chart since its 2017 release. The compilation, issued by Universal Music under the Hip-O label on June 16, 2017, brings together twelve of Cliff’s timeless classics.

The week’s most popular reggae albums in the US is based on multimetric consumption—blending traditional album sales, streaming-equivalent albums, and track-equivalent albums—as compiled by Luminate.

The album’s resurgence is fueled by strong fan support and digital sales momentum following his death last week. Notably, the set held the No. 1 position for the entire week on the U.S. Reggae iTunes sales chart.

The compilation features classics like  “You Can Get It If You Really Want,” “Wild World,” “The Harder They Come,” and “Many Rivers to Cross.”

Cliff’s highest charting album remains Rebirth (2012) which peaked at No. 1 a week after its June 16 release. His last album Refugee released via UMG has not charted anywhere since its release in 2022

In contrast, Stick Figure’s latest release, Free Flow Sessions, slips to No. 7 after debuting impressively at No. 2 last week. Despite the drop, the California-based reggae group maintains a commanding presence on the chart, with four albums in total currently listed — World on Fire (6), Set In Stone (9) and Wisdom at No. 10.

At the top of the chart is Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley ad They Wailers spending 307 weeks at No. 1.

Best Of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection maintains its peak at No. 2 and Sean Paul has two sets: Dutty Classics Collection at Dutty Rock at No. 3 and 4.
