Prime Minister Andrew Holness says there’s never been a better time to invest in Jamaica.
The prime minister was delivering the keynote address at J Wray & Nephew’s 200th Anniversary celebration on Wednesday.
Dr. Holness used the occasion to outline the key accomplishments of his administration he believes fosters a favourable climate for investors.

According to the latest data from the Statistical Institute of Jamaica, STATIN, Jamaica registered 1.1 per cent growth for the first quarter of 2025. It’s a return to growth after the economy took a hit from two back to back major weather events.
Dr. Holness says the country’s ability to recover quickly from significant shocks should give investors confidence.
The prime minister says this assertion of economic resilience has only been possible in the last five years under his administration.
Dr. Holness used the occasion to court potential investment suggesting they would struggle to find a more favourable country in the Caribbean.
