Threats against defence lawyers representing Teteron detainees

Threats have reportedly been issued against two criminal defence attorneys representing several of the high-risk inmates who are currently incarcerated at the Teteron Barracks.

This was confirmed by Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro late Wednesday night.

Responding to questions, he said, “These matters are being actively addressed and the required duty of care notifications have already been issued to the relevant parties.”

Guardian Media has confirmed from one of the attorneys against whom the threat was issued that he was briefed by police officers last evening.
