Siparia Police recovered stolen equipment and arrested three suspects following a larceny at an establishment on Penal Quinam Road in Siparia on Thursday.

The manager of the establishment reported at approximately 3pm that two men were seen unlawfully removing two Eye Wash Stations from the company compound. The suspects were observed carrying the items to a waiting white Toyota Fielder Wagon, which sped off shortly thereafter.

Responding swiftly to an All-Points Bulletin, officers from the Siparia Criminal Investigation Department and the SWD High-Performance Patrol Unit intercepted the vehicle approximately 600 feet from the premises. Upon searching the vehicle, police recovered the stolen Eye Wash Stations, which were later confirmed by the informant to be the property of the company.

Three suspects aged 31, 33, and 41, all unemployed men from Siparia and Santa Flora, were arrested in connection with the theft.

Investigations continue under the supervision of Police Constable Khaleel.

The public is reminded to report suspicious activity to assist police in ensuring community safety.

Police said the swift response highlights ongoing efforts by officers in the Southern Division to respond to reports of theft and prevent stolen goods from being moved out of the area. The recovered eye wash stations are important workplace safety equipment used to treat accidental exposure to hazardous substances, and their removal posed potential risks to the establishment.

Authorities continue to urge business operators to secure equipment and maintain vigilant monitoring of compounds, particularly during working hours. The investigation remains ongoing as officers seek to determine whether additional individuals were involved in the incident and whether similar offences may be linked to the suspects currently in custody.

Police encouraged members of the public to provide timely information to assist ongoing investigations and help reduce theft-related incidents across communities in Siparia area.
