Three Jamaicans Set to Compete at Stockholm Diamond League

Olympic champion Roje Stona will lead five Jamaicans into action at the Wanda Diamond League stop in Stockholm, Sweden on Sunday.

Stona who threw 70m to win Olympic Discus gold and set a new Championship record in Paris last year, will be making his second appearance this season.

On Monday, he threw 67.19m to finish third in his season opener in the Netherlands.

Reigning world champion Danielle Williams and national champion Ackera Nugent are entered for the 100m hurdles, while Ackelia Smith competes in the women’s Long Jump.

The other Jamaican in action at the meet Shian Salmon runs in the women’s 400m hurdles.
