Three Pieces of Business Still to be Sorted as JPL Enters Final Weekend

There’re three pieces of business to be sorted on what is expected to be a tantalising final day of the league season in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League on Sunday.

The battle for the last playoff spot is a straight fight between Waterhouse and Tivoli Gardens who are both on 55 points but Tivoli hold the advantage because they have a superior goal difference.

On the final day of the league season Tivoli will host Montego Bay United at the Edward Seaga Complex while Waterhouse will visit Dunbeholden.

The Tivoli-Mobay game will also have implications on the second automatic semi-final qualifiers because Mobay on 75 points will need to win to make sure as third place Arnett are just two points behind and they will host Harbour View on the final day.

At the other end of the table one of Molynes United, Humble Lion or Chapelton Maroons will join Vere United as relegated teams.

Molynes are on 35 points and will be safe if they beat champions Cavalier, a draw could do it if other results go their way.

Chapelton will visit Vere United where a victory will keep them in the league for next season while Humble Lion will be home to Mount Pleasant on the last day and must win and hope other results go their way.
