Dancehall artiste TIFA is extremely grateful for the awesome feedback after her recent New Rules performance in Trelawny, Jamaica. The artist who visited the island to promote her new single ‘I Want A Man’ was the only female billed to perform on the New Rules Festival curated by Dancehall Enigma Alkaline and his team.
Tifa, who doesn’t get to perform very often in Jamaica, was excited from the inception to be booked to touch a large Jamaican stage.
“I was happy when I got the call! I was like this is the cherry on top of the cake as the team had already planned a promo run in Jamaica that same week. It’s always a great feeling when you’re asked to be on a major event or platform.” Tifa confirmed.
The artist was focused on just having fun on the stage with her DJ and Dancers, performing her catalog of hits as well as introducing her fans to her new music.
“The crowd was exceptionally receptive. Even for my latest single I WANT A MAN! Looks like it’s gonna be an anthem! Just really grateful! It’s not an easy feat to be doing this for over 10 years and people still love and support you to the point where they can sing your songs word for word at a major festival!” Tifa added
Tifa also sees the incredible reception as an official rebuttal to all the false narratives and agendas that exist in the space to try to force her out of the Dancehall industry. The artiste is more committed than ever to staying the course.
“Tifa is a big brand, a powerhouse performer and recording artiste and I’m here to stay! Look out for new material and more performances in the coming months,” Tifa resonated
Tifa will be continuing the promotional run for ‘I Want A Man’ in New York in a few days. She also has confirmed performances in Philadelphia and in Canada as well as a private exclusive event in Jamaica at the end of the month. Tifa has also been confirmed for Freddy McGregor’s Birthday Bash in Florida this August, with additional gigs being finalized in the Caribbean as well.
