Resilient Dancehall star Latifa Brown – known as Tifa, has joined the elite class of Jamaican acts like Sean Paul, Beenie Man and Elephant Man who have been featured on Fox’s major late-night talk show Goodnight New York. Outside of Shelly Ann Frazer-Pryce, Tifa is the only Jamaican female to be featured on the premiere Fox late-night showcase thus far.
The platform reached out to the artiste and her team based on the continuing success of her most recent singles ‘I Want A Man’ and ‘Cant Cancel Me’, both produced by chart-topping label Digital One Production.
“It’s an amazing feeling to have the Tifa brand still making noise, and still garnering this kind of attention from not only local and international media, but international platforms that I’ve never been on in my over ten years of being an artiste,” Tifa mentioned
Tifa has also seen her brand extend beyond the diaspora market over her decade-long career and credits this to her consistently releasing authentic Dancehall and Reggae tracks that the world wants to hear, not just those in the Caribbean and Caribbean diaspora market.
“Yes, I think because my songs are authentic Dancehall and Reggae, they are systematically reaching even further. ‘Can’t Cancel Me’ in particular has gone into rotation on some major radio stations within the US and UK. I’ll also be coming on set for major TV and online platforms because I’m doing authentic Dancehall that people around the world love. I’m reminding them of the original sound and feel; along with catchy lyrics, infectious melodies and a topic that applies to all. That is why it is being accepted in non-diaspora markets,” Tifa added
In addition to Good Night New York, just completed interviews with Irie Jam Radio in New York and TMZ’s Joy Daily as well as a performance at the prestigious Newark Library in New Jersey with Famed Dj Max Glazer & Bunkr. As Tifa continues to promote her current singles, she is also looking at releasing new music and is preparing her tour schedule which will include stops in the UK, Europe and the United States. The artiste is also looking forward to her upcoming ‘Can’t Cancel Me’ birthday tour this December.
