Tifa wants a real man for the Summer

Grammy accredited Dancehall female Latifa Brown, more popularly known as TIFA, is warming up the summer music season with a poignant reggae track called “I Want A Man’.

The track, produced by Digital One Production, highlights the challenges that women face dating in the 21st century, as well as violence against women who no longer want to be in toxic relationships.

Honestly for me men in 2025 are acting more like women than men and after talking to so many females on and offline; then seeing all these stories of violence against women, I realized I had to sing about it cause it’s getting harder for women to find the real men to make them feel safe and cared for,” Tifa explained

The ‘I Want a Man’ track speaks to roles in relationships being reversed, forcing women to be leading socially, emotionally and even financially, which were formerly roles dominated by men.

A lot of these ‘men’ are living their soft girl era and forcing women to wear the pants and that is just not cool. No woman wants to be a mother and maid to a man that isn’t making them happy or comfortable. I am officially single again and hopeful that the real men will stand up and show themselves because real women are frustrated,” Tifa added

Tifa also wants to make it clear that this isn’t a male bashing single, she believes that the only men that should feel offended are those that do not fit the masculine roles that define a good man. These include being; caring, loving and kind as well as being a protector, provider and leader.

Richard Roach of Digital One Production also believes this single is relatable to a lot of women and men alike, and is excited to bring this content to life for the summer.

It’s reality, It’s what’s going on! And real men must also take note, women crave love and affection; they just want it done properly. I’m excited to have TIFA singing again on a real modern reggae track because she is such a talented and versatile songwriter and overall artiste!” Richard emphasized

Tifa has plans for additional reggae tracks to compliment her vast reggae and dancehall catalog. Her popular tracks include; ‘Crawny Gal’, ‘Spell It Out’ and ‘Jealous Ova’ with Dancehall star Dexta Daps. The single with the most recent accolades is the culturally fused single ‘Mr Rastaman, a collaboration with Kabaka Pyramid on his Grammy Winning album ‘The Kalling’.

‘I Want A Man’ also has set the single release party this week at Walshy Fire’s Rum and Bass event in Miami Florida, this event culminates a four-week US appearance stint by Tifa who is also set to perform for the first time on Alkaline’s New Rules event in Trelawny Jamaica on July 5. ‘I Want A Man’ has visuals ready for the premiere later this week to coincide with the official digital release of the single.
