Toledo Teachers Credit Union Surpasses $25 Million in Assets

The Toledo Teachers Credit Union (TTCU) says it is continuing to expand both its financial services and member benefits as the institution grows across the Toledo District.  During the credit union’s twenty-eighth Annual General Meeting held on Saturday at the Julian Cho Technical High School Auditorium in Punta Gorda Town, General Manager Roderick Williams reported that the institution has now surpassed twenty-five million Belize dollars in assets.  Williams says the AGM provided members with important updates on the credit union’s operations, financial performance, and long-term plans for continued growth and sustainability.

Williams also highlighted a recently introduced funeral grant program for members, describing it as part of the institution’s efforts to provide additional support and security for its membership base.  He also spoke on the credit union’s current loan promotions, noting that members can access loans at an interest rate of eight-point five percent.

Williams explained that membership is open to the wider public and is not limited to teachers. He added that persons interested in joining only need a valid Belizean identification and a recent utility bill to apply for membership.  This year’s AGM was held under the theme “Join us as we review the past year and plan for the future,” and included reports, presentations, giveaways, and fellowship activities for attending members.
