Tourism minister, Edmund Bartlett, says visitors to the island spend over US$2 billion US alone on food supplied by local hotels and other service providers.
He was speaking at Wednesday’s opening ceremony for the Back River office of the Tourism Product Development Company in St. Elizabeth.
Minister Bartlett says the Holness administration is creating an environment of linkages and support for Jamaican farmers to meet the demand for food from players in the hotel industry.
