Tragedy in Independence: Missing Sisters Found Dead in Pit

Police at the Independence Sub-Formation have opened an investigation surrounding the death of two young girls whose bodies were found yesterday evening in the village.  Just before five o’clock in the evening, Police were alerted of the bodies found in a septic pit.  The identification of the two victims was confirmed by family members as Anllely Daniela Pimental Argueta and Lauri Azucena Pimental Argueta.  The siblings had reportedly gone out on an errand for their aunt but did not return home.  The family grew concerned and set out to search for them in the village.  Love News understands that the search ended on a farm road in the village.  Our newsroom spoke with the village Chairman, Jose Morales, who explained that the girls were heading home when they came across a pit measuring eight by ten feet.  The siblings reportedly took a dip in the water but never made it out.

Jose Morales, Chairman, Bella Vista: “When I went there they already took the little girls to the clinic. The police was there, everyone already left and according to the parents what I got to understand from them is that they went and visited their grandmother and coming back home the younger one decided to take a shower in septic which was with water and she took off her clothes and she went in and when the bigger one saw that the younger one was drowning she tried to rescue her and she also drowned along with her sister. Their grandmother was the one who found them and I think their two little bikes were there, that was one of the ways that she went and saw where they were and they found them there in the septic. We’re planning to have a public meeting and to put this in plan that well for a fact people take advantage of the dry season to do septics and in some way they cannot finish it or cover it before the rainy season starts and these are what caused because it causes the flooding and when it’s already full with water they cannot stick blocks they cannot finish. So we need to address all of this to our community and this is something serious that we need to look into.”

The two girls are reportedly ages seven and nine.
