Tragedy in San Narciso as Five-Year-Old Falls Into Artesian Well

A five-year-old child of San Narciso Village in Corozal died after falling into an artesian well while in the care of his grandfather.  Here’s ACP Romero once more.

ACP Romero, Officer Commanding Eastern Division: “Sylvester Alcoser reported that he was taking care of his five-year-old grandson when he noticed that he was not in the yard.  He made checks in the area, and he saw a pair of slippers inside a well.  He immediately alerted the neighbors, and they began searching and could not find the child.  Thereafter, some divers from uh other villages came to assist, and the body of the child was recovered inside the well.  We are waiting a postmortem examination at this time.”
