The government says the prospectus for the TransJamaican Highway Limited, TJH, Offer for Sale is now available for public access on the Jamaica Stock Exchange website.
This, as the National Road Operating and Constructing Company Limited, NROCC, has launched a public offering to sell its remaining 20 per cent stake in TJH, the operator of Highway 2000 East-West.
Valued at $6.3 billion, the offer for sale will open on March 4, 2025, and close on March 18, 2025. Shares are priced at $3.60 each, with up to 1.75 billion shares available.
Finance Minister Fayval Williams says the move is strategic and timely.
Minister Williams says the sale will allow the government to reinvest in other national priorities.
