Travis Smikle Threw Meeting Record to Win in France

Jamaica’s Travis Smikle today set a new meet record to win the men’s Discus at a World Athletics Continental Bronze event in Marsellie France today.

Smikle threw 65.61m to win ahead of Phillip Milanov of Germany who logged 63.90m

Meanwhile the joint second fastest man in history Yohan Blake was today disqualified after crossing the line third in the final of the men’s 100m at the Raiffeisen Open Track meet in Vienna Austria.

Blake won his heat in 10.16 seconds but was outpaced in the final and crossed the line third in 10.26 seconds

However Blake was later disqualified.
