Chairman of the JLP’s campaign committee, Dr. Christopher Tufton, says the JLP’s internal numbers align with recent public polls showing gathering momentum heading into the September 3 General Election.
Recent public opinion polls show the JLP has closed the gap with the PNP on party standings.
The JLP has been steadily gaining ground in the polls since February this year.
The opposition PNP has shown consistent declines, falling from a high of a nearly 10-point lead in those polls.
Dr. Tufton says while the poll numbers are favourable, the party is not being complacent.
