Two BDF Officers Complete Rehabilitation Assistant Training in Guyana

Two officers from the Belize Defence Force completed a one-year rehabilitation assistant training course in Guyana this week. Second Lieutenant Ashley Williams and Corporal Felicia Cal were among a cohort of 140 participants coming from 10 regions. The course was facilitated by Guyana’s Ministry of Health and was the first training held using the country’s telemedicine system. Lt. Williams spoke to Love News today about the intense course and how it brings her closer to making history in the BDF.

While the course was completed in April, an official graduation ceremony was held at the Pegasus Suites Atlantic Conference Centre in Georgetown. Cpl. Cal has already returned to Belize and is operating as a therapy assistant within the BDF.
