Two Charged With Murder of Dangriga Teen

Today, police formally arrested and jointly charged 25-year-old Naheem Bonilla, a Belizean welder of Dangriga Town, and a 17-year-old male minor with the crime of murder. Noralez was gunned down early Sunday morning while riding his bicycle in the Benguche area. According to police, a motorcycle carrying two men pulled alongside the teenager before one of the occupants opened fire, striking him in the abdomen. He was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital and later transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators have indicated that the shooting may have been linked to an earlier dispute involving the teen and the accused.
