Two men are expected to be charged with possession of firearm and possession of ammunition following an anti-crime exercise in San Fernando on Thursday.
Police said the exercise took place on March 5, 2026, and involved officers of the Southern Division Road Enforcement Task Force, the San Fernando Enquiries Team and the Mon Repos Criminal Investigations Department.
Around 2:50 pm, Sgt Seecharan and a team of officers were conducting enquiries along Cypress Boulevard, Union Hall, San Fernando, when they had cause to search two men.

During that search, officers discovered another homemade shotgun along with four rounds of 12-gauge cartridges.
Both men—ages 34 and 44 years—of San Fernando, were arrested in connection with the finds.
