On Boxing Day, around 2:00 a.m. police responded to a stabbing on Armadillo Street in Belize City. 32-year-old Delbert Palacio, of Burrell Boom Village, was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital with four stab wounds to the chest. Police say the incident arose during an argument involving family members and nearby residents. Palacio was treated and later released. A few hours later, around 4:45 a.m., police were alerted to another stabbing victim taken to the KHMH. 18-year-old Gustavo Artiaga, of Belize City, was treated for multiple stab wounds reportedly inflicted during an altercation at MJ’s Cool Spot on West Collet Canal. He was treated and his condition was categorized as stable.
