Two residents of northern Belize are behind bars following a police operation that uncovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine. Authorities report that yesterday morning at around 8:00 a.m., a special operations team executed a search warrant at a residence in Corozal Town. Present at the property were 37-year-old Camille Bodden, and 48-year-old tour guide Terrence Lopez. During the operation, officers searched a Nissan Rogue parked at the entrance of the residence. Bodden reportedly had possession of the vehicle’s keys at the time. Police say the search led to the discovery of ten parcels of cocaine weighing approximately 11,408 grams. Both Bodden and Lopez were subsequently arrested and jointly charged with Possession of Controlled Drugs with Intent to Supply to Another. They were arraigned in the Corozal Magistrate’s Court where they pleaded not guilty. Bail was denied, and the matter has been adjourned until May 12. The investigation into the origin and intended distribution of the drugs continues.
