Two 25-year-old men who live next door to each other in Bushe Street, San Juan, were injured during a shooting on Friday night.
Police said the first victim was walking up the staircase to his apartment around 9.45 pm on August 8 when he heard explosions and saw two men shooting at him. He was hit in the left hand as he ran for cover.
The second victim was walking along the street when he heard the gunfire and tried to escape. Police said he jumped into a drain but was pursued by the gunmen and shot multiple times in both legs before they fled.
Officers of the North East Division Task Force took him to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, while San Juan police took the first victim to the same hospital.
Both men were reported in stable condition.
