Two teenagers were shot in Fyzabad early Sunday and remain in critical condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Police said around 12:15 am, officers responded to a report of a shooting in progress at Easy Street, Fyzabad. When they arrived, they found the victims lying on the pavement with gunshot wounds.
The teenagers told police that around 12:05 am, they were near a shop on Easy Street when they heard two explosions and felt a burning sensation on their lower backs. They were later found near Gowers Well Road Junction.
Both were taken by EHS personnel to the San Fernando General Hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
Crime Scene investigators processed the scene, but police said nothing of evidential value was recovered. Officers canvassed the area for CCTV footage and searched for the suspect, but no arrest has been made.
