U-17 Reggae Boyz Seeking to Qualify for World Cup with Perfect Record

Assistant coach of Jamaica’s national under-17 football team, Carlton Simmonds, says the plan to end their Group-H CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers with a 100-percent win record.

The young Reggae Boyz are unbeaten in their two outings so far stopping the Cayman Islands 10-1 on Wednesday after their 3-1 win over St. Lucia in their tournament opener.

The Jamaicans face El Salvador in their final game of the group needing only a point to advance to the 2025 Fifa Under-17 World Cup.

However, Simmonds says the junior Reggae Boyz be going for all three points in the final group game.

Simmonds says several Reggae Boyz players were rested for the Cayman Islands fixture to ensure their availability for the for Saturday’s game.
