The West Indies under-19 women suffered a crushing 79-run loss against New Zealand in their second warm-up match of the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 Championships in Malaysia.
Batting first, New Zealand led by a half century from Emma McLeod made 152 for 2 off their 20 overs.
McLeod’s 50 came off 42-balls and included four fours, while Kate Irwin made 46.
In reply, the young West Indians were bowled out for 72 inside 19 overs.
Asabi Callender, 10, Brianna Harricharan, 16, and Kenika Cassar, 13, were the only players to reach double figures.
Anika Todd took two wickets for New Zealand.
