Immaculate Conception and Munro College were the winners in yesterday’s round of matches in the ISSA/JHF Under 19 High School Hockey League, at the Mona field.
In the girls’ category, immaculate defeated St. Andrew high 2-0.
With the win, Immaculate Conception solidified their position at the top of the points standings with 16 points, having completed all their matches in the preliminary round.
Meanwhile, St. Andrew High, despite the defeat, retained their second-place standing with ten points after completing five of their six matches.
In the boys’ game, Munro blanked Excelsior 4-0.
With this emphatic win, Munro College climbed two places from fourth to second in the point standings, with 12 points after completing five of their seven matches.
Excelsior High Boys, although resilient, remain in fifth place with six points, having played six of their seven matches.
They will look to regroup and bounce back stronger in the remaining fixture.
