The United Democratic Party (UDP) has formally announced the appointment of its new Central Executive, following what the party describes as extensive consultations across its leadership and membership. The newly appointed executive is headed by Party Leader Tracy Panton, with Hugo Patt serving as First Deputy Leader and Miguel Guerra as Second Deputy Leader. Sheena Pitts has been appointed Chairperson, with John Castillo named Vice Chairman, while Beverly Williams will serve as Secretary General. Speaking earlier this week, Chairperson Sheena Pitts also confirmed that Kerry Belisle has been appointed Treasurer of the party. In addition, several key party committees have now been constituted. The Finance Committee will be chaired by Lynn Singh Ross; the Conventions Committee by Arlette Gomez; the Ethics Committee by Aldo Salazar; the Rules Committee by Jared Ysaguirre; and the Policy and Planning Committee by Damion Gough. According to Pitts, the appointments reflect a deliberate effort to ensure balance, experience, and broad-based representation within the party’s leadership structure.

Sheen Pitts, UDP Chairman: “This leadership is leadership by inclusion and consultation. And the appointments you’re hearing today have gone through that exact exercise, consultation and inclusion. And so if you have any questions but where ? and who ?know that who is here and who is being announced, our person fit, fine, ready to fight. And Mr. Goff is the man behind our machinery to show this nation that when we come back to you to tell you why our administration is the administration to restore this country, you better believe we’re coming good.”
Additional appointments were also announced to strengthen the UDP’s organizational arms. Annmarie Williams has been named Director of the National Organization for Women, while Melvin Sutherland Jr. will serve as Director of Youth. Regional leadership roles have also been assigned, with Dr. Omar Figueroa appointed Western Region Leader, Godwin Haylock for the Central Region, Alfonso Sanchez heading the Southern Caucus, and Tony Herrera leading the Northern Caucus.
As the United Democratic Party (UDP) rolled out its newly appointed Central Executive and key party officials, the Chairman also had a recognition of past leaders in good standing. Notably absent from that list was Moses “Shyne” Barrow, the former Party Leader. Party officials have so far stopped short of directly addressing the exclusion, but the move suggests a recalibration of the UDP’s internal hierarchy as it seeks to redefine its leadership identity and direction.
Sheen Pitts, UDP Chairman: “The person who will work with the executive to ensure that when we hit the ground campaigning we are doing so most effectively and that comes none other than the unquestionable experience of Miss Juliet Thimbrel. She will be the national campaign manager. Now, past leaders of good standing, the Right Honorable Dean Oliver Barrow, and the Honorable Senator Patrick Faber.”
The announcement was made in a UDP press conference held yesterday.
