UDP Receives 50 Applications for 18 Standard Bearer Slots

Fifty applications were reportedly submitted to the UDP Secretariat for the 18 standard bearer vacancies that was announced.  The deadline for the applications was Friday with this week allotted for the vetting by the Nominations Committee.  Best information to Love News is that only one person applied for Cayo South by way of Dale Pelayo.  In other areas like Belmopan and Port Loyola there were four applicants in each division, with Dangriga seeing five people interested.  Following the revision of the applications, it would then be determined where conventions will be taking place.  All this is expected to lead up to the October 5 Leadership Convention.
