Champions Urban Knights and Upper Room Eagles took 1-0 leads in their best of three National Basketball League semi-finals at the Stadium Courts, on Thursday night.
The Knights beat St. George’s Slayers 78-59. Omar Barnes scored 19 points and Ramone Spence score 18 for the Knights.
Meanwhile, the Eagles beat UWI Runnin Rebels 66-63. LeBron Lewinson scored 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles.
