St Lucia’s Yadhu Urs will take a narrow but valuable two-stroke lead into the third and final round of the T&T Golf Open after a composed performance on day two at the St Andrews Golf Club in Moka, Maraval, Saturday.

Urs, who started the tournament in second place following the opening round, produced one of the steadiest rounds of the day, carding a 73 to climb to the top of the Men’s Championship Division leaderboard. His consistent play left him at one-over-par overall, putting him in prime position as the battle for one of the Caribbean’s most prestigious golf titles enters its decisive stage.

Defending champion Chris Richards Jr remains firmly in the hunt after moving into second place. Richards shot a solid 74 to close the gap and now sits at three-over-par overall, well within striking distance of the leader heading into the final round.

Overnight leader Liam Bryden slipped down the standings after a challenging day on the course. Bryden had set the early pace with a superb two-under-par 70 in the opening round but struggled to maintain momentum, signing for a 79 on day two. He heads into the final round in third position at five-over-par. T&T’s Ross Ramkissoon sits fourth at nine-over-par and will hope for a strong closing round to push into contention.

In the Ladies Division, Jamaica’s Jodi Munn-Barrow continues to assert her dominance. The defending champion posted a round of 80 to move to 15-over-par overall, extending her lead to seven strokes as she eyes another title.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Victoria Seenath remains second at 22-over-par after shooting 82, while compatriot Isabella Ramdeen holds third place on 31-over-par following her round of 88.

Meanwhile, the Seniors Division is shaping up to be just as competitive heading into the final day. Richard Camacho leads the field at six-over-par, while Scott Stollmeyer and Neil Latchmansingh are tied for second place on 12-over-par.

A two-way tie for fourth sees Zeke Percival alongside Trinidad and Tobago football legend Russell Latapy, both sitting at 15-over-par heading into the decisive round.

Clint Alfred occupies sixth place at 17-over-par, while another sporting icon, legendary West Indies cricketer Brian Lara, sits ninth on 21-over-par as the final day promises an exciting finish across the divisions.
