US stocks climbed near their all-time high on Friday after the latest update on the U.S. job market cooled worries that a potentially hot U.S economy could make inflation much worse. The S&P 500 rose 0.7 per cent and pulled within 1.0 per cent of its record set in August. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 250 points, or 0.5 per cent, and the Nasdaq composite gained 1.2per cent.
