USA upset Scotland to earn first win in Over40s World Cup

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC): The USA produced a gusty effort to upset Scotland by six wickets and record their first win in the IMC Over-40s World Cup here on Thursday. Mahendra Krishnappa’s superb spell of 4-15 helped to set up the win as Scotland was bundled out for a paltry 120 in 38.2 overs after choosing to bat first at the Enmore Community Centre Cricket Ground. Only opener Kyle Coetzer, who made 44 off 71 balls, put up any resistance, with none of Scotland’s other batters scoring 20. Nadeem William snared 2-16 to support Krishnappa.
