Vaz: Don’t be Distracted by Controversy into PM’s Finances

MP for West Portland, the JLP’s Daryl Vaz, has urged Labourites not to be distracted by the controversy surrounding the finances of Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness.

Vaz, who’s also the country’s Transport Minister, says the PNP is deploying a playbook it first used against Holness nearly ten years ago.

Reports have emerged alleging the Prime Minister’s net worth moved from $350,000 dollars to $160 million over two decades.

That’s an approximate growth of $6 million per year.

The Integrity Commission is demanding that Holness disclose the source of the funds.

But the Prime Minister has maintained he has provided all the necessary information required by the anti-corruption body.

Holness statutory declarations dating back to 2021 remain uncertified.
