Vaz Slams ‘Reckless & Evil’ PNP Statements in Defence of Rural School Buses

Transport minister, Daryl Vaz, is describing statements made by the opposition People’s National Party about the government’s rural school bus programme as reckless.

Speaking at a press briefing in St. Andrew, Minister Vaz dismissed the opposition’s stance as a vulgar attempt to fool the electorate.

Minister Vaz says the government remains committed to delivering a safe, affordable and convenient programme that provides quality service to children and reduces cost to parents.

The transport minister addressed concerns about the safety of the buses.

In the meantime, Minister Vaz says the units will be able to last up to 15 years before any overhaul is needed.
