Member of Parliament, MP, for West Portland, Daryl Vaz is accusing the People’s National Party, PNP, of political cowardice, slamming its members for abandoning constituencies and seeking safe seats after each electoral defeat.
The veteran MP named Dr. Dayton Campbell, Senator Peter Bunting and Senator Damian Crawford among others.
MP Vaz was speaking at a Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, meeting in South Trelawny over the weekend.
South Trelawny is represented by the JLP’s Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert. She was re-elected as MP following a by-election in November last year, after retiring from the post in September 2023.
MP Vaz told labourites that unlike the PNP, politicians like himself and Mrs Dalrymple-Philibert, remain rooted in their respective constituencies no matter the cost.
