[Kingston, Jamaica – Monday, March 23, 2026] In honour of Women’s History Month, dancehall recording artist Vershon teamed up with Jenelle Alexia of A’Legends Productions on a new track aptly titled ‘Queen’. Officially released on Friday, March 20, the track was available for pre-order and did extremely well in that aspect.

Speaking on what ‘Queen’ means to her, Jenelle Alexia stated, “‘Queen’ is about celebrating women who inspire, uplift, and lead with strength. Releasing it during Women’s History Month was intentional as it’s a reminder of the value, power, and influence women carry every day.”

Working with Vershon on a project of this magnitude is truly an honor. This single is the first release from our upcoming EP ‘To A Queen’, and I believe this collaboration is long overdue but everything happens in its own time,” Jenelle Alexia said when asked what it was like working with Vershon on the track.

Vershon, born Kemar Vershawn Brown, has always done songs for the ladies, praising them for their talents, assertiveness, creativity, independence and, of course, beauty. On ‘Queen’, however, he delves further into these topics and applauds all “queens” who continue to stand firm in such troubling times while staying “pretty in a everything”.

‘Queen’ comes from a real place. It’s about that one woman who is not only beautiful on the outside, but also motivates you and pushes you to be a better man, sometimes without even realizing it. She inspires those around her, and her presence alone is something to admire. Every man has, or needs, that kind of queen in his life,” stated Vershon.

He continued, “Releasing it before the end of Women’s History Month was intentional, because women deserve that recognition. Working with A’Legends on this project has been a great experience, and this is just the beginning of what we’re bringing with the ‘To A Queen’ EP.”

With the western world just celebrating Mother’s Day on March 15 and International Women’s Day on March 8, it is more than fitting for ‘Queen’ to be releasing now and become the anthem for the rest of Women’s History Month. The eastern world celebrates Mother’s Day in May. However, a song like ‘Queen’ can be played everyday for every woman who is resilient and takes pride in everything she does.
