Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel is keeping his foot firmly on the gas, announcing another album titled The Sun, just months after the release of his latest project, God & Time.
Kartel shared the news via his Instagram Story, posting promotional artwork declaring: “Vybz Kartel is dropping another new album called The Sun.” The graphic lists December 18, 2026 as the release date.
The announcement signals another major release from the prolific Jamaican artist who has released three new projects over the last two years. Rather than allowing God & Time to mark the end of his 2026 album campaign, Kartel appears ready to close out the year with an entirely new body of work.
Details surrounding The Sun, including its official tracklist, featured artistes and producers, have not yet been revealed in the announcement. However, with the December release date now being promoted by Kartel himself, more details are expected as the rollout develops.
