Vybz Kartel Breaks Into Top Five on Billboard Rhythmic Airplay Chart

Vybz Kartel has secured a spot in the top five of Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart through his feature on Travis Scott’s song PBT, which climbed from number seven to number five this week. The track also features rising global star Tyla.

The achievement marks Kartel’s fifth appearance on a Billboard song chart. His previous entries include Pon De Floorwith Major Lazer, which peaked at number forty one on Billboard’s Dance Digital Song Sales chart in 2010, and Ramping Shop with Spice, which reached number seventy six on the Hot R and B Hip Hop Songs chart. His solo hit Fever, which later earned gold certification, peaked at number thirty six on the R and B Hip Hop Airplay chart and number twenty three on the Rap Airplay chart.

Kartel is also featured on You Remind Me, a collaborative track by DJ Khaled that includes Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, RorystoneLove, and Kaylan. That song reached number twenty five on the Rhythmic Airplay chart two months ago.

PBT appears on the seventeen track compilation album Jackboys 2, released on July 13 through Cactus Jack Records and Epic Records. The project features a wide range of artists including Future, Playboi Carti, NBA YoungBoy, GloRilla, 21 Savage, and Bun B.

On the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers continue their historic run as Legend records its three hundred and ninth non consecutive week at number one. Best of Shaggy The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy holds steady at number two, while Sean Paul’s Dutty Classics Collection re enters at number three and his album Dutty Rock follows at number four.

World on Fire by Stick Figure rises to number five, while Greatest Hits by UB40 moves up to number six. Stick Figure also occupies the next three positions with Set in Stone at number seven, Wisdom at number eight, and Free Flow Sessions at number nine. Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers re enters the chart at number ten.

In Canada, Neto Yuth and Anthony B take over the number one position on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart with So LongFeels Like Home by JUNO nominated artist Celena holds at number two, followed by Wheel and Come Again by SkyStar at number three. Loving You Forever by Tesharah remains at number four, while Show Us the Way by Eddie Bullen featuring Kandice K A S H, Tasha T, and Mel Dube climbs to number five.

On the South Florida Reggae chart, Kashief Lindo moves into the top spot with Where Do I Fit InTrench Town Legendby Alborosie climbs from number thirteen to number twelve, while Your Grace and Mercy by George Nooks rises from number twenty to number eighteen. Mental Health Awareness by Hopeton Lindo and Anthony Malvo debuts at number twenty three.

Richie Stephens remains at number one on the New York Reggae chart for a second consecutive week with Special LadyWe Need Love by Johnny Osbourne and Tarrus Riley sits at number eight. All Over the World by Lila Ike and Protoje climbs from number twelve to number ten, while Distant Lover by Kehv holds at number sixteen. Feel Good by Royal Sounds enters the chart at number twenty eight as the only new entry this week.
