Following an epic performance on the weekend, Dancehall star Vybz Kartel is expressing heartfelt gratitude to the people of the Cayman Islands, describing the experience as unforgettable.
In a social media post, Kartel shared that the overwhelming love during his first visit to the island moved him to the point of tears on several occasions. He praised fans, airport staff, security personnel, and members of the public, while also highlighting the food, culture, and kindness he experienced throughout his stay.
The deejay also extended special thanks to the event promoter and his family, noting that he was welcomed not just as an artiste, but as family.
Kartel further acknowledged the Cayman Islands Government for sponsoring the event and facilitating his entry and performance for fans.
Addressing church groups and others who opposed his visit, Kartel maintained a respectful tone, stating that while differences in belief exist, he respects their views and wished blessings upon them and their families.
He closed his message by thanking every supporter who sang along, took photos, waved, prayed, or showed love in any form, saying they made his first visit truly unforgettable.
